"How do we possibly begin to thank you and the incredible St. Sebastian’s family for all you have done for Conor, Christian and our entire family?

"When I am proud of them, I think of you.  When they demonstrate kindness or character, I thank St. Sebastian’s.  When they show compassion or integrity, I think of you all and how you found simple, consistent ways to bring out the very best in them.

"When their eyes dance with excitement as they speak proudly of the accomplishments of their teammates or the fabulous colleges their brothers were accepted to, I feel so grateful for the confidence you fostered in them so that they can enjoy the success of others as much as their own.

"When they say they would have preferred to stay at St. Sebastian’s at least one more year, I cannot help but smile and thank God for one of the most precious gifts in our lives, becoming part of your community."

The essence of this recent message from Paula Reenstierna P’12,’15 is one we often hear shouted from the rooftops.  From our lofty perch on Nonantum Hill to the great plain of Needham, St. Sebastian’s has engaged young men in the pursuit of truth through faith and reason for almost 75 years. Living the order of the day, Love God, work hard, and take good care of one another, ours is a cultural treasure, one we’re called to nurture and protect and advance for future generations of young men and their families.

I am forever grateful to the many Arrow’s Alumni, who have participated in our Annual Fund and Capital Campaigns. Some have stepped up even further by committing a bequest or a charitable gift through our Rev. Charles D. McInnis Society.

In an effort to make this wonderful society, which helps assure the financial future of our great School, more readily available to all Alumni, we have appointed Ed Davis ’65 as our first ever Planned Giving Director. Ed is well prepared and eager to consult with you as you consider your legacy to your most grateful School. Please feel free to contact Ed's office at 781-247-0158 or ed_davis@stsebs.org.

I thank you for your prayers and your countless gifts of love.  May God continue to bless you and your families every sacred step of the way.

Sincerely,

Bill Burke
